A NOTE ABOUT SUBMISSIONS FROM 6th ECRICE/2nd ECCE

In response to the Call for Papers for Special Sections with papers from 6th ECRICE/2nd ECCE (that took place in September 2001, in the University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal), a total of 23 manuscripts were received, one as invited contribution, the rest to undergo the standard review process. In addition, one author agreed not to submit because of the paper being not suitable for CERAPIE. Three papers appear in this issue. From the remaining 20 manuscripts:

  • 4 were returned to the authors by the editor as unsuitable for CERAPIE;
  • 1 was rejected after review;
  • 2 were returned (without review) to the authors by the editor, with advice for improvement - but have not been received so far;
  • 2 were resubmitted after advice for improvement by the editor, and, after review, they must be resubmitted in revised form;
  • 8, after review, must be resubmitted in revised form;
  • 3 are under review, of which 2 after revision.

It is expected that the next issue of CERAPIE will include further papers from 6th ECRICE/2nd ECCE. Note that most authors submitted their manuscripts toward the end of the deadlines; this has contributed to the overall delay of the review process. Finally, CERAPIE thanks all authors who have responded to its Call.
