1^st One-Day Workshop on New Aspects and Perspectives in Nuclear Physics

September 8^th, 2012 - Ioannina, Greece

The 1^st Workshop of the Hellenic Institute of Nuclear Physics was held in the Physics Department, University of Ioannina, on the 8^th of September, 2012. The scope of the Workshop was to keep track of new aspects and perspectives in Nuclear Physics, as demonstrated by research carried out at the national and international level. An overview of the status and opportunities, as well as future directions in the field in Greece, were concluded in a round table discussion at the end of the day.

Professor P. Ring from Physikdepartment of T.U. Muenchen will be visiting the Studitorium of Theoretical Physics, Section of Nuclear and Particle Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, between 8-26 November 2010.

He plans to give a seminar about "Covariant density functionals with spectroscopic properties in Nuclear Physics". The exact date will be announced later.
