Science and Technology Park


The University of Ioannina will provide space and infrastructure for companies seeking to expand their business, gain access to the international markets and develop innovative technologies.
The Science and Technology Park will be located adjacent to the University Campus. It will be comprised of Institutes and support infrastructure to provide the environment for a dynamic centre for technology development.
The companies which will join the Park will benefit from a customised business development support allied to the high levels of technology research and new product development of the academic units of the University of Ioannina.

Epirus Net


The University of Ioannina and the region of Epirus have recently developed a wireless ATM Frame Relay Network which covers most of the region. The Network is currently in use for the provision of telemedicine and teleworking services. Such services include electronic health care recording, tele-diagnosis, tele-education, electronic booking etc.

The Career Development Office
of the University of Ioannina provides students with support in planning their future career and seeking employment after graduation.

The Liaison Office brings together the academic community with business and industries in an effort to promote the research potential of the University of Ioannina.

The Office of Public & International Relations, one of the oldest services of the University of Ioannina, is responsible for all the activities that promote the social character of the University both in Greece and abroad.
 
Both the Career Development Office and the Liaison Office, along with the Office of Public & International Relations, develop mechanisms of continuing dissemination of information and cooperation between the University community and the business as well as the cultural sectors of the society.

The University Hospital


The University Hospital of Ioannina ("UHI") has a capacity of 700 beds covering an area of 62,000 sq. m.
It was founded in 1989, adjacent to the University of Ioannina main campus and operates under the auspices of the Medical School. All fields of medical science are represented in the UHI.
The Hospital boasts the finest and most advanced medical equipment, including digital imaging, gamma camera, magnetic resonance imaging, angioscopy and other diagnostic and therapeutic facilities.
