Accommodation:


Low income students (both under- and postgraduate) are eligible for free residence at the University Halls of Residence for a nominal fee.

Housing is provided on campus in five residence halls for 675 students. A residence hall in the city of Ioannina houses an additional 470 students. For students deciding to live off campus a frequent bus service to and from the city of Ioannina is available. Free meals are provided to all students by the student restaurant twice a day, including weekends and holidays.

 

Tuition Fees-Financial Support:


As with all Greek Universities, there are no tuition fees for undergraduate studies at the University of Ioannina. For exceptionally good students, there is a number of scholarships available in each Department. There are also no fees for postgraduate studies at the University of Ioannina and postgraduate students are eligible for all the benefits provided to undergraduate students. Most of the postgraduate students are supported by research assistantships or fellowships from the Hellenic Ministry of Education, the State Scholarships Foundation (SSF) or research contracts from the Hellenic Ministry of Development, the E.U. etc.
